I just read a beautiful piece by about he and his wife’s search for some dogs to join their house, and I felt so much of it - the search, the joy and maybe a part of the heartache that Rob so poignantly relayed.
And it reminded me why politics matter - why it ever mattered - the only reason it ever will.
Through that non-political writing, I saw the beauty of the human heart. A heart of care, responsibility, and ultimately joy.
That matters, and that always will.
I have always felt that politics touches every part of our lives, and yet I also know it’s not responsible for our choices - or all of our outcomes.
